Based on a couple of web sites, (including this one), having the gold ingot in your inventory helps reduce stress and fatigue for certain monsters. What monsters derive a benefit from this? Judging from the cartoon, Hare species might benefit, but that's just a guess. Do any monsters suffer from having gold in your inventory (ie tigers)? Hard information as well as speculation is welcome! -- Farmer Jimbo (honcho7@excite.com), December 15, 1999
Answers If I may be so bold as to reply to my own topic.... I took another look at the excellent item list on Mr. Campbell's site. It's translated from the japanese imperfectly. The information on the gold ingot indicates it helps only when [garbled] is in your ranch. Scrolling down to the disc chip list, the same [garbled] symbols appear next to a 500g disc chip which imparts "fighting spirit". The list does not contain information for the Hare class of monsters. Does this mean only the Hare gets a benefit from the Gold Ingot? If you are raising a Hare or Hare sub-breed, and have a Gold Ingot in your inventory, please spend about 30 min's to test its effect! -- Farmer Jimbo (honcho7@excite.com), December 15, 1999.
If you look closely, the [garbled] symbol next to the gold does not match up the same as the one next to the fighting spirit. I doubt that it's a hare. Some people think it only affects the gold suezo. -- RNA(RNA@Ribosome.nuc), December 15, 1999.
I think it is a mis-translate of "Gaboo". -- Tornado (wind@death-star.com), December 15, 1999.
Hmmmm... your right RNA, its close though. I'm currently raisng a hopper to open up the hot springs, but once that's done, I'll do a little research. -- Farmer Jimbo (honcho7@excite.com), December 16, 1999.
