im fairly new to the game, but ive done some research during the summer break, hopefully this post proves useful in this archives arsenal
while doing the drills, i noticed something funny about the point gains, in any drill, whether the monster was good at it or not,
the rolls went in a specific order, in fact there were 4 Different rolls for each drill, light and hard, and whether the monster did great or average on it.
take a look at this : Gobi, stage 1 SHOOT : (successful drills) low roll : 2 med roll : 3 high roll : 4 max roll : 5
....i reseted over 50 times just to figure out what type of numbers come in, so i trained this Gobi in stage 1 just specifically on SKI, accepting either a high roll or the max roll, that saved me about 100 points after stage one! (compare that to a player who accepts any of these rolls.......prob shaving off more 50 - 75 points with 2's or 3's)
it looks like that these rolls increment by 1 point for each drill, no matter what the breed was (i tested them for almost all the monsters ive unlocked, xcept for wracky and mock, and all proved the same.)
this also proved true for GREAT rolls :
gobi, stage 2 :
SWIM(Great Drills) low roll : 11 def, 5 lif, -4 int med roll : 12 def, 6 lif, -4 int high roll : 13 def, 7 lif, -2 int max roll : 14 def, 4 lif, -3 int
....looks like you can get more points (at least 18) from the third highest roll, compared to a max roll which yeilds only half for the secondary stat gain, but then again, youve got the POw trainer right?
these rolls were independent of weather, item use, drugs, etc, but i dunno if you can increase your chances of getting higher rolls instead of the lower ones by making your monster less stressed or rested (it looked random to me)
i tested this out, i ranched a gobi in stage 2 using the shoot drills, accepting only succesful rolls, but any roll, resulting in 300 SKI, after stage 2
i reseted, reloaded the same Gobi, and accepted only the max roll and got 500 ski after stage 2
now, this a just a lil tool, no drugs, no fancy training methodologies, just playing good dice i guess.
but then again, ill need someone to confirm this, maybe there are 5 different rolls? or six? dependent on each monster?
