Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 2 Archive (PSOne): Raising/Training Tips: Stress, Scolding, and Raising Style, A discovery, By Dark Phoenix on Tuesday, August 1, 2000 - 10:50 pm:
Well, I broke out my old PSX with the Shark in it and found that there was still some life left, so I decided to do more experiment. While experimenting with a Pixie, I decided to test how it will react to scolding after cheating. Here's what I've found. By Dark Phoenix on Wednesday, August 2, 2000 - 01:24 am: BTW, the above discovery so far only applies to scolding for cheating. Failure scolding seems constant. By Tony on Wednesday, August 2, 2000 - 12:25 pm: I'm not really too surprised at the results of that one DP. If you look at it from the perspective of a human, discipline or worry of any kind seems to add to stress. Not sure if every time I get stressed if a take a 22 point hit to my LI, but I'm sure it's pretty close. When I get fatigued, and no Nuts Oil are available, I settle for Folger's Breakfast Blend. If I get stressed, and no Mint Leaves are available, I play Knockout Kings and take it out on someone else! By Eagle_Fierce on Thursday, August 3, 2000 - 06:08 pm: I have a question, DP...If you're a "Spartan" style trainer, wouldn't oyu ALREADY yield high stress levels on your monsters? I mean, if I were treated like an slave or such, never given any choice on the matter, I'd be stressed enough as is. If this is so, wouldn't the no stress due to cheating be almost pointless in caomparison to the overall reductions of the training style? By Dark Phoenix on Friday, August 4, 2000 - 03:22 am:
Ye forget, Eagle. SNAKES! You can use smoked snakes to get the raising style to Spartan without causing stress.
