Happened to be looking through the list of items that DP put up, and noticed the 'Griever' among them. -20 Stress?! Either this is a wet dream, a heck of a typo, or an absolute _god_ item, for folks who occasionally need a little stress-reduction in their monsters.

Unfortunately, I've never found one in the game. I'm assuming (probably improperly) that it's one of those mysterious 'expedition items' you can find, though I wouldn't know where to find it. I get Irritators with irritating regularity (and sell them or toss them every time... useless thnigs) but I've never yet found a Griever. Where's this one hiding out?

Gah, it's in one of the expeditions, I remember getting one at least once, I think a couple times. Which would mean it's in one of the "normal" two expeditions, Torles or Parapara, since I haven't gotten all that great yet, and have only been invited to Kawrea once since the beginning.

Sorry I can't be a little more detailed. And I'm assuming that to use it's destress effect, you have to use the item, and not just have it in your inventory? I think I used up all my flowers in trying to figure out what they did.

I think it's a typo. I believe Griever was a POISONOUS plant.

or it might be a typo meaning a (+) twenty to stress,.. which sounds a bit more believable.

No typo, gang. The Greiver subtracts 20 stress from a monster, but I believe it adds 10 fatigue, if I am not mistaken. DP, care to help me out on this one?

Do not mistake it for the Irritator, the flower to avoid!

I'll leave DP to correct me, but when I last checked with him, I believe he re-tested the Griever, and found htat it didn't remove a straight -20 stress (WA!). It did, however, remove 1/5 of stress. So it's still at least somewhat useful. Not as much as if it were a set number, though. Ah well. Had to hope!

Unfortunately, KS is right. Griever does not reduce stress by 20. What it actually does is lower a monster's stress by 40%. Kind of like a Mint Leaf, only not as good. Sorry!

so this greiver removes 40% stress every week while its in the inventory?
or does it remove it when you use it?
