This is my first time posting here so I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong question. But I just bought MR4 for my PS2 and it isn't working. It works fine up to where I put my name in. Then the guy mentions going to the shrine, and the screen goes black. And then it stays black. I tried leaving it th at way for 5 minutes but it never changed. And I tried resetting it and the same thing happens. IS the game defective? Or should I just wait longer? This is the first time I've tried a MR video game(until now, I've only watched the anime) so I'm really clueless.

Sounds like a scratch on the disc, or the PS2 is starting to suffer from DREs.
