Team Combos: does it matter if the other monster is dead?

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 4 Archive (PS2): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here) : Team Combos: does it matter if the other monster is dead?
By Apocalypse on Sunday, October 16, 2005 - 05:02 pm:

My monsters seem to have 2 different counter attacks. My Naga for example only uses the one where it rolls over the opposing monster only if it is dead. Has anyone noticed this before? Are there other species that this applies for? Is there a difference in power depending on which counter attack is used?

I don't understand. You are talking about 2 different things. Team combos are not counter attacks.

Sorry, I meant "my monsters seem to have two team combos" and "depending on which team combo"

By Apocalypse on Monday, October 17, 2005 - 12:34 pm:

Sorry, I meant to say team combo where I said counter attacks. (this is what happens when you play Mr4 and type all at once)

Are you talking about normal battles or boss battles?

By Apocalypse on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - 12:59 pm:

Normal battles.

I don't know. I never really paid attention to the attack of the teammates.

Anyone who does? (no offense Petit-Trot, I understand didn't notice until a week ago)

well another species that does this is pixies one team attack it goes in front of the enemy and a lightning bolt comes down and the other one it it comes from the sky and does kind of a wind lance attack.
