Power or Intelligence? Defense or Speed?

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 4 Archive (PS2): FAQ: Power or Intelligence? Defense or Speed?

This table shows if a monster excels at power, intelligence, or both and it also shows if that monster excels at defense, speed, or both. It can be used for when you want to raise a monster that is similar to another monster so you don't have to have both power and intelligence gadgets on the field and you can focus only on power leaving space for other gadgets. This table isn't saying that you HAVE to train a monster in a specific stat but it is what the stat gains point to. This table however does not take techs into consideration. The monsters that fit into the Pow & Int and/or Def & Spd have those 2 statgains fairly close to one another and that monster then can go either way. This information is based off of the range of stat gains for each main breed so it is possible that a specific sub-breed of the main breed could have statgains a little different then what the chart below shows. Again None of the rares have been counted in this chart because alot of rares have stat gains that are WAY off what would be normal for the breed.

If a monsters name is Underlined that means that monster breed has a 6 or better average stat gain in life.

If a monsters name Italicized means that monster breed has a 6 or better average stat gain in accuracy.

If a main breed has a * at the end of it's name then that monster has a 7 or better average guts regeneration rate.

this is very useful whenever i play MR4, i even used this b4 i was a member on this site...anyway i get wat makes a monster want to train in Pow or Int (depending on if it has lots of pow moves or if it has lots of int moves) but wat determines if it should train in DEF. or SPD? i mean other then common sense like with golems or bakus...

Use the statgain chart for that.
