Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 4 Archive (PS2): Research on game mechanics: Pixie Lifespan Tests By Harrabcat on Sunday, December 21, 2003 - 12:42 am:
Ok Yesterday I asked Lisa how to go about doing lifespan tests and today I got done with the first half. I suspect tomorrow I will get done with the second half but heres the first half.
T1,T3,T5 Had not serious temper T2 had nice temper T4 had normal temper As you can see NOTHING HAPPENED... It doesn't matter if you make a monster by encyclepedia, book, or by combining the lifespan seems to be the same.. now this next series of test should be funner Any questions or comments? By Harrabcat on Sunday, December 21, 2003 - 10:25 am: The 2 combined pixies were both from encyclepedia entries that were untrained. By GoldenBoy on Sunday, December 21, 2003 - 10:28 am:
Ok then. The only thing I'd add to that, is a test of pixies By Harrabcat on Sunday, December 21, 2003 - 11:13 am: Well if you do that make sure you don't have 2 fat parents I combined those monsters just for fun and they had chubby babies (surprised?) Ok, I combined T4 and T5 Today and found some interesting results..
T4 and T5 had the bonding lvl of Great friends These pixies weren't trained at all during thier whole entire life and yet they made a baby with better stats in all areas except defense. By Harrabcat on Monday, December 22, 2003 - 12:23 am:
Ok Finished second half Heres the full chart
T1, T3, T5, T7, T9, and T10 had not serious tempers T4, T6, and T8 had normal tempers T2 had a nice temper As you can see Nothing happened!!! It doesn't matter if you create a monster by combining, encyclepedia, or by cd, nor does it what time of year you create the monster in. It doesn't even matter what type of food you feed the monster, as long as it stays healthy. Kinda makes you wonder what does matter.. Any questions comments or the likewise? By Raistlin_Majere on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 - 12:28 am: almost forgot also tried it with 5 pure breed hengers (from encyclopedia)... had a bit of different results though (just fed it mushrooms)... retired them at 4 years and 4 months...will try it again later since i could go home early today from work :D By Raistlin_Majere on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 - 07:09 pm:
okay just for a bit of info for anonymous and help for harrabcat (it still requires a much more thorough testing). Yesterday, as i was testing my hengers I tried battling a henger once to see if i would have a lifespan loss and rested the others. I didn't had a lifespan loss. All of the hengers were retired on the same week at 4 years and 4 months. By Harrabcat on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 - 07:05 pm:
