Using Medals

Once you have received the Medal from Wit ingame, and have been visited by Swift, the purple haired Gadgeteer, you can make modified gadgets using medals you can find on expedition.

There are 4 types of Medal:
TypeEffect
IntenseIncreases focus, but your monster will become hungry faster.
LuckyEach drill will get you money.
HealingReduces stress, but your monster becomes lazy (less focus).
MagicImproves gains, but increases fatigue

Once you have any of them in your inventory you can modify one gadget per medal you find. In Swift's Buy screens there will be 4 variants for each training gadget you have found and appraised. You can look at any variant, but you can only buy versions for medals you have on hand. He will ask you if you want to use the medal, and when you accept, the new gadget will be in your inventory. You can then sell back your "normal" version.

Swift's appearance is partially random, but for most people, consistant in the 2yr6mo - 3yr range.
