Jell Technique

Monster Rancher Metropolis: Monster Rancher 1 Archive (PSOne): Miscellaneous Q&A (Post New Questions Here): Jell Technique

Hey guys. Okay check this out. I restarted playing monster rancher 1 the other day. My buddy and I both ended up having a jell for our second monsters. There's a technique called "suffocate" that you guys have listed as a power based tech. Here's the catch. On the game when you first get the tech and check your monster's info it has it in green as an intelligence tech. Then when you go to battle it shows it in yellow as a power tech. So my question now is which one is it really? Intelligence or Power?

Both of my Japanese guide books list it as an Int tech. I will have to test it in battle to check, though. This may take a few days. I will get a monster with it, then shark Int up to 999 and see how it hits, then start over and only shark Pow up to 999 and see how it hits. (against a dummy in my freezer, 20+ times)

Right on. Thanks Lisa. Look forward to hearing about that. If it is Int like I think it is we'll have to fix it in the monster section here.

I am pretty sure it is an Int attack since on the game it looks green and says it is. I tested it on my hatched Jell/Worm, pumped Pow as a worm and Int as a jell. Before I pumped Int I had him use it against a comp monster and it did about the same amount of dmg that my other Int attacks did. But this is probably a very inaccurate test so I would trust Lisa more than myself heh...
