PVP Monster Rancher 2 Tournament Planner
Plan and track raising your monster for online PVP tournaments and their different rulesets! Set your goals and track your monster's stats as you prepare for online competitive tournaments.
This will alert you for exceeding a tournament's cap, and help you set a pace and which stats to focus on for a particular format.
Instructions
Tournament Rules / Parameters:
- You can choose a popular format with pre-populated examples that you can alter to match your goals and monster's current stats
And/Or... if your tournament isn't listed as an option:
- Enter a Tournament Stat Cap.
- This cap is the combined stat total allowe after exclusions. While each individual stat cap may be high, the total number of points a monster has must not exceed the Tournament Stat Cap.
- Set individual stat caps for each stat according to the tournament's rules.
- Most of the time, all stats will have the same stat cap, but once in a while there can be a tournament that has different stat caps for individual stats (Such as 2100 Mixed's format with a 600 Stat cap except SPD/DEF are capped at 480)
- Set Ignore stat parameter (set to 0 for Strict).
- Community tournaments often allow for stats at under 50 to 100 points to be ignored since they offer virtually no benefit and reduces the tedium of save-scumming to cheat stats down. Japan usually runs a strict format (every point counts).
- Set Mixed Attacker if allowed (Ignoring the lesser stat of POW or INT by checking the box)
- This rule allows a monster to have both attacking stats, but at the point cost of only the higher attacking stat.
Tracking your Raise:
- Set the goals for your monster in the "Target Stats" column. The Tournament Rules Values column will highlight RED if you've gone over the defined parameters for Tournament Rules.
- Update the "Current Stats" column with your monster's current stats. Update this as you are raising your monster, especially if you're getting close to your target goals.
- The "+ / - Stats to Target" column will show a negative number if you still need to lower stats, or a positive number by the amount you have left to raise to meet your goal (0 Remaining means you have met your goal!).
- Tournament Values and Totals, along with Remaining values to meet your goals, will highlight with a RED background if you're outside of the set tournament parameters.
Final Check:
- If your raise is completed and your "+ / - Stats to Target" isn't all green, you can double check your Current stats by inputting them into the Target Stats column.
- This will let you know for sure if your current stats do not exceed the Tournament stat rule-set.
