When you go to the Market, you are greeted by the “Market Lady” asking you

    What would you
    like to do?

You are given two options: “Sell” your monster or “Get” a monster.

If you choose to “Sell” your monster and you do not have one, then “Market Lady” will respond

    You want to sell
    a monster?
    But, you don't have one.

and take you back to the screen for “Get” and “Sell”

If you choose to “Sell” your monster and you have one, then

If your monster’s “Loyalty” is greater than or equal to 60, then your monster will react to you selling it. Based on it’s mood (not sure, but it’s not pointing to nature), it will respond aggressively (biting) or passively (resistively).

If your monster is less than 12 weeks old, “Market Lady” will not offer you any money and respond

      The monster you brought
      is not welltrained yet.
      ------------------------------
So we can't pay for it.
      ------------------------------
      Is it OK to take
      it away?

If your monster is greater than or equal to 10 years old, “Market Lady” will not offer you any money and respond

      The monster you brought
      here is too old.
      ------------------------------
So we can't pay for it.
      ------------------------------
      Is it OK to take
      it away?

If your monster isn’t too old or young, then “Market Lady” will offer you money and respond (see Monster Cost table on page 1)

We can pay "Monster Cost" G
      for your monster.
      Do you want to
      sell it?

If you choose not to sell, then

If your monster has “Loyalty” greater than or equal to 60, then it will react in a relieved manner. The “Market Lady” will respond
        Then, what would you
        like to do?

and take you back to the screen for “Get” and “Sell”

If you choose to sell, then

If your monster has “Loyalty” greater than or equal to 60, then it will react in a totally dejected manner and sulk away into the distance; otherwise, it will leave in a nonchalant manner with no emotion.
If your monster has loyalty greater than or equal to 60, then Colt will respond

        Goodbye...
        "Monster Name"!

Otherwise, the “Market Lady” will just respond and say

        Thank you.

You are then taken back to the town’s main screen.
