Advanced Viewer for MR2+MR2DX by Lexi
Monitor Stress and Fatigue levels in real time, Never second guess what your monster's stat gains are, or how many times have you actually used those techs... Along with many other features, Lexi's Advanced Viewer for MR2 is a must have for anyone wanting to observe behind-the-scenes mechanics in real time.MR2AV is a Windows app and works along side of Monster Rancher 2 DX on Steam. and additionally several emulators for the original PS1 game.
There are several Advanced Viewers for different Monster Rancher games. This one is specifically for MR2 + MR2DX games.
How to Use
- Be sure to download the MR2DX Advanced Viewer app, and save it to a location where you can find it later.
- Extract the full contents of the folder, and launch the MR2AdvancedViewer.exe
- Start MR2DX (or start a supported emulator, and then launch the MR2 game)
- Launch MR2AdvancedViewer.exe after the game has started.
- In the upper left of AV, in the Emulator Dropdown box, Choose an Emulator/version or Steam depending on what you're using.
- Click the "Start Viewer" button in the lower right of AV.
- Without a monster visible on the Town or Ranch you may only see very limited data.
- Once you have a monster on the ranch, data for the specific monster should display in the app.
Features
There's a lot of features in Lexi's Advanced Viewer for MR2 & MR2DX. Here are some of the highlights:
The main window and Starting AV with the game
- Start using Advanced Viewer by choosing the application to bind it to. (The Steam or Emulated game MUST be running.)
- Then click "Start Viewer" to begin observing data about your monster.
A quick breakdown by section
- This area contains Stat Gain aptitudes for your monster, Stat totals, Starting & effective nature, and Arena speed.
- Week to week data in this section, like current Stress & Fatigue levels, current lifespan index and notices for losing extra weeks.
There's an option here to change your monster's name as well! (Trainer name can be changed too, in the extra features section) - Born With information such as Likes/Dislikes, Battle Specials, and tracking life Stages and lifespan
Form Adjustments Tracking
- Your monsters form adjusts your SPD and DEF stats.
- Items in [brackets] are the "real" stat after form adjustments. This automatically toggles between the stats you see and the Adjusted form.
Extra Features: Item Viewer
- This can show you your inventory and explain what each item does.
Extra Features: Move Viewer
- See techs learned.
- See requirements to learn other techs.
- See how many times techs have been used.
- Shows specific numerical values for techs for the vague letter ranges.
Extra Features: Life Index pop-out
- A nice window for streamers or playing with minimalist information.
Bonus Trackers!
- See when Shop Sales will occur.
- See when Errantry Sales can be allowed to occur.
- Cocooning Tracker: Cup Jelly counter and Cocoon qualifier check (+ unlock info).
- Gold and Silver Peach usage.
- Multi-Week effect tracker for items such as Paradoxine or Troron.
FAQ / Issues
- Question: Why doesn't AV work for MR2DX?
- Answer: Advanced viewer works on version 1.0.0.2 of the game. Make sure you update the game to the latest version. In most cases, this issue seems to occur with pirated versions of the game which is an earlier version. Please consider purchasing the game and support the franchise.
- Question: I'm getting an error when launching the application; such as "Could not load file or assembly"
- Answer: Check that you haven't moved "MR2AdvancedViewer.exe" outside of the folder. If you want a shortcut on your desktop, right-click the app and create shortcut, then move the shortcut to your desktop.
- Question: I'm getting an error "Cannot find [Steam/DuckStation/etc.] running on this system"
- Answer: Make sure the game/app is currently running and that you have selected the correct application in the Emulator drop down in MR2 Advanced Viewer.
