Monsters are generated by your favorite Music (Audio) CDs, Games (anykind in CD format), and MR1 and MR2 can also create monsters from any Personal Computer CD. So, if you have ANY of these in your home... You truely have Monsters in hiding just waiting to come out!
How the heck does this game make Monsters from CDs?
During Gameplay there is an option to create monsters from mysterious "Disk Stones" or "Saucer Stones" (basically your CDs). When prompted you swap out the game and insert your CD. the game then reads the TOC (Table of contents) of the CD you inserted. After reading the data the game promts you to enter the Game CD back into the Playstation.
In a few moments your monster is born! - you even get to give it a name.
